RadioBurn

Cellular data, made visible

Where did my data go?

RadioBurn tracks every megabyte your phone uses on a live timeline — orange on 3G, blue on 4G, purple on 5G. Your cycle total matches what Android Settings shows. Everything stays on your phone unless you choose to sync.

The mystery

Why your bill doesn't match your phone

Your carrier counts data their way — rounding, billing windows, and network rules you never see. Your phone counts it Android's way. Those two numbers are often close, but they are not the same thing.

RadioBurn shows you what your phone actually measured, using the same source as Settings → Network & internet → Mobile network → App data usage. That is the number you can act on today: which app spiked, when you dropped to 3G, whether "5G" was really 5G.

RadioBurn will not match your carrier invoice — and we tell you that up front, so you are not surprised at month-end.

  • Carriers round up Many bill in larger chunks than your phone tracks megabyte by megabyte.
  • Billing cycles differ Your plan may reset on a different day than Android's cycle counter.
  • "5G" is not always 5G Sometimes your status bar says 5G while you are still on a 4G connection. RadioBurn shows both.

FAQ

Common questions

Will this match my carrier bill?
Probably close, but not exactly. Carriers use their own rounding and billing windows. RadioBurn shows what Android measured — the same source as Settings — so you can see which apps and networks used your plan.
Does it drain my battery?
RadioBurn runs a lightweight background monitor. Keeping battery unrestricted prevents gaps in your timeline when aggressive battery savers kill the app. Most people notice little difference day to day.
Does it work with dual SIM?
Yes. Pick which SIM you want to track in Settings. Totals follow the SIM you select as your default data line.
What about VPN or ad blockers?
RadioBurn counts cellular bytes at the phone level, before most VPN tunnels. Optional block mode uses a local on-device filter — not a commercial VPN — and only if you turn it on.
How do I install the APK?
RadioBurn is not on Google Play yet. Tap Download APK, then open the file. Android will prompt you to allow this browser (or Files) to install unknown apps — turn that on for this source only. Google Play is coming; until then this site is the official download.
Is there an iPhone version?
Not yet. RadioBurn is Android-only because it reads network details Apple does not expose to apps.
